The breakfast is open to the public and promises to be exciting with presentations from the 2013 Creativity Grant and Founders Grant recipients, the educator of the year announcements and the awarding of car leases to the award winners from event sponsor King Buick GMC. Reservations for this event will open on February 3, 2014.
Table and event sponsorships are available for the Educator Appreciation Breakfast. For more information, contact TEF Executive Director Kim Akeley-Charron at (970) 613-5074.
Founders Grant applications are OPEN for the 2013 - 2014 school year.
Thompson Education Foundation Founders Grants are now available for Thompson School District schools and educators. These grants are intended for any student-centered experience, as long as the resources directly benefit or serve Thompson students.
2013 HELP KIDS SUCCEED SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE ACCEPTING DONATIONS1,500 stuffed backpacks were delivered to Thompson School District schools for distribution to students during each school's registration dates in August.
The Help Kids Succeed program recognizes how important school supplies are to the success and well-being of a student. Not only does it give the student an immediate avenue of response to the classroom curriculum, but the feeling of being fully prepared to learn inspires confidence, ability and self-worth in students throughout their school day. A new backpack filled with supplies for a K-12 student would cost, on average, $75.00. By working closely with our purchasing partners, TEF is able to provide the same backpack for $20.00, allowing more students to benefit from program donations.
Donations to Help Kids Succeed can be made online by clicking on the "donate now" button at the top of the page or by mail to: Thompson Education Foundation, 800 S Taft Avenue, Loveland, CO 80537.
