ABOUT US

Incorporated in 1989, Thompson Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting and enhancing educational opportunities within the Thompson School District. The foundation is a separate entity from the district, which provides flexibility in accepting and managing gifts.

For the past 20 years Thompson Education Foundation has provided or continues to provide funds for multiple projects throughout the district including, but not limited to:

Educator of the Year Awards – The TEF Educators of the Year awards and breakfast recognizes the excellent work of the Thompson Schools’ staff.

Elementary Instrumental Music Endowment – In the past nine years, every 3rd grade student has been able to learn the joy of playing music with recorders that are provided by TEF.

Help Kids Succeed – In partnership with other organizations, TEF provides new backpacks full of school supplies to students in need throughout the district.

Scholarship Programs - Ten different student scholarship funds are managed through TEF, providing funds to graduating seniors of Thompson Schools.

Thompson Education Foundation represents the community and its support for excellent educational opportunities and innovation. Without donations from the community, the foundation would not be able to support these and other educational programs and projects.

4th graders learn mathmatical concepts through drumming. One of many creative learning projects Thompson Education Foundation has funded. The foundation provides over $500,000 of financial support each year to programs, projects, and initiatives throughout the Thompson School District.
